MUZAFFARABAD: Twenty people have been killed, 15 injured and 30 missing when a bus plunged into a river near Muzaffarabad, Geo News reported Thursday.
The incident occurred at Jhelum Valley road near Paddhyara when a passenger bus skid-off in river due to over speeding. Twenty bodies have been recovered so far and search operation is underway for the missing persons.
Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Sardar Ateeq Ahmad Khan constituted a committee to probe the incident and announced compensation of Rs.50,000 each for deceased and Rs.25,000 each for wounded.
