Swat, Shangla toll from floods/rains mounts to 145, 158 SWAT: The incessant spate of unprecedented rains, turning into fierce floods of all time, have inflicted annihilation all across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Swat, Shangla and Malakand Divisions, Geo news reported Saturday morning.

Over 300 innocent people have lost their lives collectively in both districts while death toll from flesh floods and rains have climbed to 145 in District Swat alone, official sources said.

Meanwhile, over 150 people have died in Shangla alone.

Those areas came under massive destruction included Behrin, Madian, Kalam, Kanjo, Kabal and capital place Mingora where more than 150 link bridges and six big bridges have been completely washed away, source said.

Rescue activities backed by Pakistan Army are afoot in Swat affected areas as nearly 2500 people including tourists have been rescued unhurt and escorted to a safe place, witnesses told media.

Free of cost ration was dealt out among people in Kalam.
